Position Overview
The Senior Sourcing Manager, Technology is a strategic procurement leader responsible for managing Hunter Douglas' global technology spend, including software, SaaS, cloud services, IT infrastructure, telecom, cybersecurity, and consulting services. This role partners closely with global IT leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate enterprise agreements, optimize supplier performance, and deliver measurable cost savings. Directly impacting procurement MBOs, the position drives value creation, risk mitigation, supplier innovation, and operational efficiency across a global technology portfolio.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute global category strategies and multi-year sourcing plans for technology spend categories in partnership with IT leadership.
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including spend analysis, market research, RFx management, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
- Negotiate and manage enterprise agreements across software, SaaS, cloud, telecom, hardware, cybersecurity, and IT services categories.
- Deliver annual cost savings and total cost of ownership improvements through effective sourcing and supplier management initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and Information Security teams to ensure favorable commercial terms, risk management, and compliance.
- Establish and lead supplier relationship management programs, including business reviews, scorecards, performance monitoring, and risk assessments.
- Drive license optimization, demand management, supplier consolidation, and continuous improvement initiatives across global regions.
- Provide market intelligence, pricing benchmarks, vendor insights, and procurement support for major technology transformation projects.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, including at least 5 years focused on technology categories.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, telecom, and IT services agreements.
- Strong knowledge of technology licensing models, subscription pricing, cloud consumption, and contract management.
- Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that deliver measurable business results and cost savings.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including total cost of ownership analysis, business case development, and supplier evaluations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across global and matrixed organizations.
- Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems, source-to-pay platforms, and advanced Excel reporting and analytics.
- CPSM, CIPS, MBA, or other relevant procurement certifications preferred; willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.
