Category Manager

Job Description: ACCOUNTABILITIES / OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES OF POS. Zero classified accident through constant improvement on belief and act in EHS. Ensure purchasing activities in compliance with legal regulation and company’s guideline. Develop purchasing strategy and lead the purchasing activity for the assigned category (Diluent & Amines& Supporting epoxy resin etc.), understand the technology and supply base of the category (capacity, technology mapping and market pricing). Deliver sustainable cost saving. Minimize risk and increase leverage by moving away from single sourcing and introducing new vendors for competition. Manage suppliers relationship to secure supply with competitive cost. Lead sourcing activity in New product initiative and transfer product projects. Actively involve in NP projects. Support regional and global networking and information flow to improve procurement efficiency of the assigned Categories CONTACTS: INTERNAL: All internal departments Operation buyers Lead buyers in other regions EXTERNAL: Suppliers SUCCESS CRITERIA FOR POSITION: Can identify saving opportunities independently and proactively and achieve saving target Keep abreast with the development of the supply market and technology Good focal point for purchasing in NPI team, to bring professional purchasing service to the internal customer Develop high quality of suppliers with contracts in place Advanced proficiency in SAP&Excel(data analysis pivot table) &Power BI) REQUIREMENTS OF POSITIONS: Qualification / Experience: - Bachelor’s degree majored in Chemistry or business administration - min.5 years Purchasing experience ideally in multinational Chemical company, electronics and epoxy resin industry are preferred - Self-motivated and good project management and communication skills - Good communication skills and capability of influence - Able to work independently Additional Locations: Huntsman Corporation is a publicly traded global manufacturer and marketer of diversified chemical products with 2025 revenues of approximately $6 billion from our continuing operations.
