Carefully enters all sales into the cash register to ensure that all purchases are accurately recorded. Makes change, accepts declining balance cards, and other acceptable forms of payment, and issues receipts to customers. Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds. Performs sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion. Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner. Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards. Observe customer purchases in the café line to differentiate between standard portions. Maintain, stock, and clean service areas as directed. Collect and record temperatures of food, service, and display areas as directed. Interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, and company inventory and cash control procedures. Assures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements. Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. Medium Work: Occasionally exerting up to 50 lbs - constantly exerting up to 10 lbs. 26-50% of the day may be standing or walking.
