Job Summary
About the Role We are looking for a Trade Compliance professional to support global import/export operations and ensure full compliance with international trade regulations. This role plays a critical part in enabling smooth cross-border operations while minimizing regulatory risks across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Classify products and technologies under HTS and ECCN codes
- Support and maintain export control policies and procedures
- Participate in internal audits for import/export compliance
- Act as a key point of contact for government inquiries related to trade
- Support development and enhancement of foreign licensing programs
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipment compliance
- Manage shipment-related activities including freight quotations and tracking when needed
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in trade compliance processes and tools
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or related field
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and traffic procedures
- Experience working across APAC, EMEA, or LATAM regions preferred
- Familiarity with HTS classification and ECCN determination
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex compliance issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Customs Broker License or certifications such as CES / CCS
- Experience in high-tech, manufacturing, or data center industries
