Overview:
As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of the finance team - responsible for corporate accounting matters, month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. This individual is an integral part of the corporate team, maintaining clear and consistent daily accounting operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed financial records for a portfolio of properties, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
- Prepare journal entries and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in developing annual budgets and monitor performance against budgeted targets
- Collaborate with on-site personnel and other team members to provide support and resolve any financial issues or discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Conduct financial analysis on property performance, cashflow, and capital expenditures
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
- Ability to develop innovative solutions and process improvements based upon technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of financial systems
- Assists with annual audits
- Supports ad-hoc projects
Required Skills/Abilities:
- B.S. in Accounting/Finance required
- Excellent computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial accounting software
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and detailed oriented
- Ability to work in a dynamic setting and adapt to change
- A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all dealings and an ability to adhere to the company’s core values
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Target Pay Range:
$59,500.00 - $79,500.00
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
