Job Summary

Work Arrangement: Due to the launch of our new greenfield site, this role will start as remote. Candidates should be comfortable transitioning to an onsite work arrangement once the facility is ready.

Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. • 2+ years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise firewall and network security technologies. • Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect preferred. • Palo Alto Networks certification is a plus. • Understanding of network security principles, including access control, security policy management, network segmentation, VPN technologies, and secure remote access. • Experience supporting manufacturing, operational technology (OT), or other highly available environments is a plus. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.



We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Firewall Security Engineer to join our Global Network Infrastructure team. In this role, you will support the security, availability, and operational health of Insulet's firewall infrastructure while partnering closely with Network Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Networks, you will play a key role in protecting critical business and manufacturing operations through the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of network security solutions.

This position is based in Costa Rica and supports both local operations and Insulet's global firewall environment. Responsibilities include firewall policy administration, security optimization, lifecycle management, compliance initiatives, and secure remote access solutions. The Firewall Security Engineer will contribute to securing enterprise, manufacturing, and Operational Technology (OT) environments while helping ensure reliable and secure connectivity across Insulet's global network.

Responsibilities: • Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise and manufacturing firewall infrastructure to ensure security, availability, and optimal performance. • Configure, implement, and administer firewalls and related network security technologies following industry best practices and company standards. • Ensure firewall platforms, software, and associated security systems remain current through ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management. • Implement firewall and security policy changes in accordance with established Change Management processes and procedures. • Document network security architectures, firewall configurations, operational procedures, and technical standards. • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response activities related to network security infrastructure. • Partner with Network Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Operational Technology (OT) teams to improve the security and resiliency of Insulet's global network environment. • Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities as required.
