Interstates is currently seeking a Production Lead to join our Manufacturing Team in Omaha, NE The Production Lead will oversee and support a team of Electrical Assemblers responsible for the assembly, wiring, fabrication, and testing of industrial control panels and electrical systems. This role serves as a hands-on leader on the manufacturing floor, providing direction, coaching, and technical support while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to Interstates’ quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the daily work of Electrical Assemblers in the Panel Shop
• Provide direction, coaching, and hands-on technical support to team members
• Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and electrical assemblies from layout through completion
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules and quality standards
• Review work throughout the production process to identify and prevent errors, defects, and rework
• Help troubleshoot electrical assembly and wiring issues and determine appropriate solutions
• Assist with onboarding and training new team members and support ongoing skill development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while holding team members accountable to safety expectations
• Communicate project status, challenges, and completion expectations with Production Supervisors
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and Interstates’ Core Values
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, quality, and productivity
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of electrical, electrical assembly, panel building, electrical manufacturing, or related experience preferred
• Previous leadership, lead, mentoring, or training experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Knowledge of industrial controls, control panels, and low-voltage electrical systems preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
