About The Role

We are looking for a (Senior) Backend Engineer to join our Discovery Platform Team and help evolve the core architecture of IP Fabric's product.

You will work hands‑on in the codebase, drive architectural improvements, and enable other engineering teams through a stronger, more scalable platform. This is a high‑impact IC role requiring strong backend engineering skills, architectural thinking, and the ability to collaborate closely with Product and other engineers.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys ownership, solving complex problems, and influencing how systems are built, not just implementing tickets.

What You’ll Do

• Design, refactor, and evolve core Discovery platform components
• Drive architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve scalability and stability
• Own platform initiatives from problem definition to delivery
• Collaborate closely with Product to translate business goals into technical roadmap items
• Mentor and support other engineers through technical leadership and clear communication

What You'll Need

• Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js (TypeScript)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Kafka/RabbitMQ
• Experience with system design and building scalable applications
• Practical experience with Linux and Docker
• Proven experience refactoring and maintaining existing production systems
• Ability to work independently and identify what needs to be done
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with distributed systems or large-scale data processing
• CI/CD pipeline and deployment experience
• Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows (Codex, Claude, Cursor)
• Networking or Network Engineering knowledge
