Ivy Tech Bloomington campus is searching for a full time lab assistant that will provide support the School of Information Technology programs through laboratory assistance, lab and classroom equipment maintenance, inventory control, general network and server administration as well as the development of program and lab instruction materials for faculty and students.

Major Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in an IT field or a combination of education and professional work experience of 2 years or more is required for the position.
Computer proficiency in hardware/software support, computer networking, and server administration is a must.
Self-motivation, documentation, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
CompTIA’s A+ certification is required.
Experience in virtualization utilizing Hyper-V and/or ProxMox or other virtualization software solutions is a requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additionally preferred, but not required, skills and industry certifications include Cisco’s CCNA, CompTIA’s Net+, Security+, Linux+, experience with automation tools (e.g. Terraform and Ansible) and container environments (e.g. Kubernetes and Docker).
