Your Role

Are you passionate about designing and transforming enterprise geospatial platforms that support critical business and operational outcomes?

As a GeoSpatial Solution Architect, you will provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) platforms and services. You will play a key role in shaping geospatial technology strategy, driving platform modernization, cloud adoption, and architecture governance while ensuring solutions remain secure, scalable, and resilient.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners, you will help deliver innovative geospatial solutions that enable smarter decision-making through location intelligence.

What You'll Do

• Design and govern enterprise geospatial solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise technologies.

• Lead platform modernization initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation projects.

• Define architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for GIS platforms and services.

• Design secure, scalable, and resilient GIS environments across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.

• Collaborate with business, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.

• Provide technical leadership for architecture reviews, solution design, and complex problem resolution.

• Support platform performance, operational readiness, disaster recovery planning, and continuous service improvement.

• Partner with technology vendors and service providers to ensure successful solution delivery.

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions.

• Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and ArcGIS Web Adaptor.

• Experience leading solution architecture, platform modernization, migration, or transformation initiatives.

• Experience working with cloud or hybrid environments such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Strong understanding of enterprise platform architecture, security, governance, and operational best practices.

• Experience integrating GIS platforms with enterprise systems, applications, and services.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across business and technical teams.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

• Experience working within government, transportation, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or consulting environments.

• Experience delivering GIS cloud migration or modernization programmes.

• Knowledge of enterprise geospatial data management and geodatabase technologies.

• Experience working with external technology vendors and delivery partners.

• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools used within GIS environments.

• Relevant GIS, cloud, or architecture certifications.
