Marvell's optics franchise is one of the fastest-moving and most capacity-constrained part of our portfolio. This leader makes sure a hyperscaler demand signal that swings materially in a planning horizon still lands as a supply plan we can commit revenue against. Why it matters: Optics demand is set by a handful of cloud and AI infrastructure customers placing multi-year bets. The upside is real; so is the whipsaw. This role is the hinge.

What You Can Expect

What You'll Own

• Demand-to-commit. Supply planning for the full optics portfolio — optical DSPs, coherent, linear drivers/TIAs, silicon photonics. You own the number that goes to E-Staff.
• Capacity corridors. Translate the 5-year URCF into foundry, OSAT, test,, substrate and optical components asks. Advanced-node wafer commits, advanced packaging slots, ABF substrate, sort/final-test capacity and component capacity.
• Allocation governance. When constrained supply has three good homes, you run the trade-off — and the decision is defensible to the BU GM, Finance, and Sales.
• NPI-to-volume handoff. Interlock with NPI Planning so ramps land on time with committed capacity behind them, not hope.
• Escalation command. Single point of accountability for optics supply escalations — customer-facing and up to the CSCO and COO.
• The team. Lead and grow a global planning organization across US, and Asia sites. Build a bench, not a dependency.

In Scope — and Out of Scope

In: Architecture of the optics supply plan. Cross-node and cross-customer allocation. Exec-level revenue commit. Long-range capacity strategy with our supply base.

Out: PO execution, supplier pricing and contract negotiation, OSAT shop-floor scheduling, and site-level MRP transactions. Those sit with Procurement, Global Operations, and the site teams — by design. You are a peer to those leaders, not their escalation path.

Who You'll Work With

Principal strategic peer to the Optics BU GM and product line leaders, Foundry & OSAT Procurement, NPI Planning, Central Planning, Finance, and Sales Operations. Regular exposure to the CSCO and COO. You will spend real time with our foundry, OSAT, substrate and optical component partners.

What Success Looks Like at 12 Months

• Supply plan accuracy at quarter close.
• Zero unplanned decommits above traced to planning process gaps.
• A signed-off 5-year optics capacity corridor with our top three supply partners.
• Minimal quarter-exit delinquency on the optics portfolio.
• Two internal successors identified and developing.

What We're Looking For

Must have

• 15+ years in semiconductor supply chain; 5+ leading global teams at director level or above.
• Deep fluency in the fabless operating model — foundry, OSAT, test, substrate and components — not just in-house fab and factory.
• Optics or high-speed connectivity domain credibility. You can hold a technical conversation about an NPO/CPO ramp or a package transition.
• You have personally carried a revenue commit number into an executive staff meeting and defended it.
• S&OP/IBP discipline, allocation frameworks, and capacity modeling.

Nice to have

• Advanced packaging depth (FOCoS, FCBGA, 2.5D/chip-on-wafer).
• Optical module or transceiver ecosystem experience.
• Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Power BI/DAX.

Bottom Line

We don't need a coordinator. We need a leader who turns volatile AI-driven optics demand into a supply plan the company can bank on — and who owns the number when it's hard.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

203,630 - 305,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.


This role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.
