Job Summary Loenbro is looking for an initiative-taking individual willing to work hard and grow in the position located in Arizona.

The Industrial Insulator is responsible for fabricating, installing, repairing, and maintaining metal jacketing and insulation systems on industrial equipment, piping, vessels, ducts, and tanks. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, measure and fabricate sheet metal components, and ensure insulation systems are installed safely and according to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, bend, fabricate, and install sheet metal jacketing for insulated piping, vessels, ducts, and equipment.
  • Install and secure various insulation materials, including fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, and removable insulation blankets.
  • Fabricate metal covers, elbows, valves, reducers, tees, and custom fittings using hand and power tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, specifications, and work orders.
  • Calculate material requirements and ensure proper fit-up and installation.
  • Install weatherproof and protective metal jacketing, including aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized metal.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of damaged insulation systems.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various industrial environments as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial insulation and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, brakes, rollers, shears, and other sheet metal equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of insulation materials and installation methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCCER Insulation Certification or equivalent training.
  • Experience in refineries, power plants, mining facilities, manufacturing plants, or other industrial environments.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Scaffold user awareness and fall protection training.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb, and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work platforms.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and fall protection equipment.

Work Environment

  • Industrial construction and maintenance sites.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and outdoor conditions.
  • Overtime, shift work, weekends, and shutdown/outage work may be required.

This position focuses on safely installing and maintaining insulation systems that improve energy efficiency, personnel protection, and equipment reliability in industrial facilities.
