Summary: As a Technology Support Engineer, a typical day involves addressing and resolving incidents and problems that affect various business system components to maintain smooth and stable operations. The role includes managing change requests and continuously updating documentation to enhance troubleshooting processes. Collaboration with external vendors and internal service management teams is a key part of the daily routine, ensuring timely analysis and resolution of issues to support business continuity and operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical MySQL environments across production, non-production, and cloud platforms. The candidate will be responsible for database availability, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security compliance, automation, and supporting infrastructure transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Database Administration Administer MySQL 5.7/8.x databases in Production, UAT, DR, and Development environments. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations. Manage schema changes, database refreshes, and capacity planning activities. Ensure high availability and stability of database services. Performance & Optimization Monitor database health and performance using enterprise monitoring tools. Analyze slow queries and optimize SQL performance. Perform index optimization and query tuning. Review database growth trends and recommend capacity enhancements. Backup, Recovery & DR Configure and manage backup solutions using MySQL Enterprise Backup, Percona XtraBackup, or equivalent. Execute backup validation and disaster recovery testing. Support database recovery during outages and critical incidents. Maintain RPO/RTO compliance requirements. High Availability & Replication Manage MySQL Replication, Group Replication, InnoDB Cluster, and HA configurations. Troubleshoot replication lag and synchronization issues. Support failover and DR exercises. Automation & Continuous Improvement Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or PowerShell. Automate monitoring, health checks, backup validation, and routine DBA activities. Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and self-healing solutions. Operational Support Provide L2 support for incidents, problems, and service requests. Participate in on-call and critical incident management activities. Conduct RCA preparation and implement preventive improvements. Support weekend maintenance and planned changes. Required Skills Core Technical Skills MySQL Database Administration (5.7/8.x) MySQL Replication Backup & Recovery Linux Administration Database Security & Hardening Cloud & HA Technologies Azure Database for MySQL MySQL InnoDB Cluster Group Replication High Availability Architecture Experience & Qualification 3-4 years of Database Administration experience. Minimum 3+ years of hands-on MySQL Administration. 15 years full time education is required. Experience in regulated enterprise environments preferred.

Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Database Management. - Strong knowledge of database architecture, design, and performance tuning. - Experience in incident and problem management related to database systems. - Ability to create and manage Requests for Change and update technical documentation. - Familiarity with collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams for issue resolution.

Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Database Management. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
