Java Backend Developer

Overview:

A backend developer will be responsible for managing the server-side logic for the Stack applications. They will primarily be focused on building new features and functionality, developing maintainable and reusable libraries, and maintaining integration with the Splunk platform. A backend developer is expected to have a fundamental understanding of OOP coding principles and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Strives to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
• Implement solutions which are efficient and optimised for their task
• Clarify and understand requirements for a solution, maintaining constant communications for feedback to ensure that the requirements are met
• Ability to research and self-learn
• Working within agile framework, including participating in stand-ups, maintaining workflow through Jira
• Identifying, resolving, and fixing bugs and issues
• Ensure an understanding of the Stack Git workflow, including branching strategies
• Development of the automated testing scripts for the applications

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of experience with Java
• Excellent English communication skill
• Intermediate experience with Linux
• Intermediate knowledge of Splunk
• Basic experience with Git
• Familiarity with REST architecture
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with XML
• Critical thinking and Problem solving
• Presentation and communication skills
