The Delivery Driver is responsible for providing efficient and safe delivery of product to our locations within the NYC Area. The driver operates a van and also operates a hand truck to assist when making deliveries. The Delivery Driver responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

Delivery Operations:

• Safely operate a small van to make deliveries to our Shops within the NYC area in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure the secure loading and unloading of products / items for each delivery.

Route Planning:

• Familiarize yourself with local routes and traffic patterns.

Product Handling:

• Handle products with care to prevent damage during transit.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Report any vehicle issues promptly and coordinate with the appropriate personnel for repairs.

Communication:

• Maintain clear and open communication with the maintenance team and Shop Management.
• Provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.

Adherence to Safety Guidelines:

• Follow all safety guidelines and traffic rules to ensure a safe delivery process.
• Use safety equipment, including seat belts, as required.

Documentation:

• Keep accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and Shop Management signatures.
• Submit required documentation and reports to Maintenance Management in a timely manner.

Education and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of RECENT commercial driving experience
• No degree required.
• Must have a valid NY drivers license
• Ability to clearly communicate and read in English.
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and Holidays
• Must be able to work a flexible shift (mornings and/or evenings)
• Ability to complete all basic and recurring training.
• Comfort /familiarity with basic smartphone operations
• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently
• Ability to navigate a route successfully & independently
• 3 points or less on a motor vehicle report
• No license suspensions within the past 12 months and no more than 1 license suspension in the past 3 years
• No more than 1 accident in the past three years
• Cannot have more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• On a workday: standing/walking for 4 hours or more.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
• Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed.

Hourly rate = $20
