Position Overview
- A Senior Maintenance is a multi-craft technician who ensures optimal equipment uptime and factory efficiency by performing in-depth advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting, executing complex corrective and preventative repairs, safe restoration and developing preventive maintenance strategies.
- Mission: Deliver safe, capable and sustainable Powertrain operations while accelerating local technical capability and launch readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced troubleshooting
- Diagnose interacting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, sensor, motion and PLC-controlled faults.
- Use schematics, I/O status, alarms, trends and measurements to isolate root condition without defeating safeguards.
- Support controlled backup/restore and component replacement under automation governance.
PM/PdM & precision work
- Execute complex PMs, alignments, calibrations, condition checks and rebuilds to defined acceptance criteria.
- Record findings, measurements, parts and follow-up work accurately in CMMS.
RCA & permanent correction
- Lead field evidence collection and 5-Why; implement approved countermeasures and verify recurrence prevention.
- Identify maintainability, spare, documentation and training gaps and escalate improvement proposals.
Technical coaching
- Coach technicians and operators on troubleshooting, AM Level 3, safe work and defect recognition.
Enterprise, launch & workforce expectations
- Safety: LOTO, guarding, interlocks, HV controls.
- Quality: protect product conformity, traceability and calibrated-tool discipline; contain abnormalities and preserve objective evidence.
- Delivery: support stable flow, takt/cycle achievement and rapid, structured escalation of constraints.
- Cost: reduce scrap, rework, downtime, energy and consumable losses through data-based countermeasures.
- People: build Saudi national capability through coaching, cross-training, ILU progression and knowledge transfer.
- Continuous improvement: participate in tier meetings, 5S, Kaizen, QRQC and closed-loop corrective action.
Success Measures
- Safety compliance, near-miss/action closure and zero unauthorized bypass.
- Quality-at-source, traceability completeness and repeat-defect reduction.
- Delivery/cycle or equipment-availability performance within role scope.
- Timely closure of launch, PM, RCA, punch-list and improvement actions.
- Skills-matrix/ILU progression, cross-training and Saudi national capability transfer.
- Data and documentation accuracy, audit readiness and disciplined handover.
Skills
- Advanced multi-craft troubleshooting.
- PLC/I/O and industrial-network diagnostics.
- Precision measurement, schematics and safe machine restoration.
- CMMS discipline, RCA and coaching.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical diploma in mechatronics, electrical or mechanical discipline.
- 5+ years multi-craft industrial maintenance.
- PLC diagnostics on Siemens, Rockwell or Beckhoff.
- HV competency.
- Fluent Arabic and working English.
- Greenfield or brownfield industrial launch and ramp-up.
- High-automation, automotive, EV, battery or precision-assembly environment.
- TPM/Autonomous Maintenance and Lean problem-solving methods.
- Experience developing local technical talent in a multicultural workforce.
Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
