At Magna, our vision is to create great homes together. We have ambitious plans, and are seeking creative, aspirational, and talented people to join our fast paced, adaptable, and highly collaborative environment.

The Role and what you take care of:

At Magna, our values shape how we work: we put customers first, work together, take pride in doing the right thing, and keep learning so we can improve!

As a Magna Asset Surveyor, you will be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team that create great homes and better experiences for our customers and communities. Using your surveying expertise, you will support future planned and cyclical works and response repairs to help ensure our homes are safe, well maintained and fit for the future. From inspection through to completion your work will make a meaningful difference every day, while ensuring we meet the highest standards and maintaining optimal levels of customer satisfaction. If you are ready to bring your skills, values and commitment to a team that cares, we would love to hear from you.

• You will be part of a knowledgeable and supportive team responsible for delivering a range of capital and revenue works programmes, stock condition surveys, EPC-related activity and inspections linked to response repairs. You will gather and record accurate information on key property areas such as asbestos, energy performance, legionella, housing health and safety rating system requirements, and the condition and lifecycle of building components. This insight will help us understand the quality of our homes and plan the right improvements for our customers.

• You will support the analysis of survey data to help shape future investment programmes, identifying trends, priorities and opportunities for improvement across our homes. Your work will contribute to informed decision-making, helping us invest in the right places at the right time and ensuring our properties remain safe, sustainable and fit for the future.

• You will play an important role in consulting and liaising directly with customers, listening carefully to their concerns, explaining works clearly and helping to resolve issues in a positive and professional way. As a visible representative of Magna, you will help build trust, provide reassurance and make sure our customers feel informed, respected and supported throughout the process.

• You will assist in resolving customer complaints by investigating concerns, supporting clear communication and working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to achieve fair, practical and satisfactory outcomes for everyone involved. You will take a customer-focused approach, helping to prevent issues from escalating and supporting continuous improvement in the way we deliver our services.

What you need to be successful

•You will bring comprehensive knowledge of how survey programmes are developed and delivered, with the ability to support the interpretation and analysis of property data to inform future investment decisions. You will use this insight to help shape major works, planned and cyclical maintenance programmes, ensuring our homes are maintained effectively, risks are identified early, and all activity supports compliance with relevant regulatory and statutory standards.

• You will have the ability to work collaboratively across all areas of the business, taking a true ‘one team’ approach to deliver positive outcomes for our customers. Building strong, professional relationships with colleagues, contractors and customers will be key, as you will need to communicate clearly, share knowledge, resolve issues constructively and help create a joined-up service that reflects Magna’s values.

• You will combine excellent customer-facing skills with sound technical knowledge, enabling you to explain complex property matters in a clear, helpful and reassuring way. You will be confident working directly with customers, listening to their needs, managing expectations professionally and using your technical understanding to provide practical advice, identify solutions and support high-quality service delivery.

• You will hold a Building Surveying or Construction related qualification at HND level or experience that substantially illustrates this.

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous: • Asbestos P402. • Legionella Control for Property Management. • HHSRS - The Housing Health & Safety Rating System. • Domestic Energy Assessor Level 3.

Applicants with transferable qualities are encouraged to apply.
