Job Description Summary:
The Director of Primary Care oversees and manages Primary Care clinic operations and related processes within MarinHealth Medical Network’s (MHMN) purview, under the direction of senior leadership and in partnership with the Primary Care Medical Director. This role is responsible for ensuring quality of care, a patient-first focus, and appropriate patient access in daily operations through fiscal responsibility, resource allocation, continuous process improvement, quality assurance, and collaboration with physician and administrative leadership.
The Director also works closely with specialty leadership teams to support comprehensive care strategies and achieve clinically integrated, high-quality outcomes. The Primary Care clinics are developed to meet the needs of the patient population, with progress monitored against established goals and milestones.
Additional responsibilities include contributing to strategic planning and goal setting for the Primary Care clinics in collaboration with senior management. The role helps implement and maintain departmental policies, practices, and procedures, and partners with medical staff, leadership, medical directors, nursing, and other members of the care team to implement best practice guidelines that support high-quality, patient-centered services.
