Overview Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork. Location: David M. Sindelar Cancer Center - 10050 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128

Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Mon-Fri | Day Shift | 8:00am-4:30pm

Bring your nursing skills to a specialty setting where you can build meaningful relationships with patients and make a difference throughout their care journey. As a Registered Nurse with Medical Oncology & Hematology at the David M. Sindelar Cancer Center, you’ll work alongside physicians and a collaborative care team to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. You’ll support patients through assessments, treatments, education, follow-up, and care coordination while developing your skills within a specialized area of nursing. What You’ll Do

As an Outpatient Specialty RN, you will:

• Room patients, review medical histories, obtain vital signs, and assess patient conditions
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Assist physicians with patient care and specialty procedures
• Provide patient education and help patients understand their plan of care
• Respond to patient questions, phone calls, test results, and follow-up needs
• Coordinate care and collaborate with physicians and other members of the care team
• Assist with laboratory, imaging, and referral needs
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record
• Maintain proper medication handling and safety practices
• Support infection prevention and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations within the clinic

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure

• Current, valid RN license

Certification

• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

Experience

• Previous experience is not required
