Communications Manager, AI Products

Meta is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead storytelling for AI products coming out of Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) — including Muse, our personal AI agent and Meta AI; the assistant used by people globally.

In this role, you will drive the consumer AI product narrative in the US, setting strategy, leading launch moments for new products, and shaping how national technology, consumer, and business press understand where Meta is taking personal superintelligence. You'll serve as communications counsel to the Meta Superintelligence Lab product leadership. This position is full-time and US-based.

Responsibilities

• Lead the communications strategy for Meta Superintelligence Lab's consumer AI products, including Muse and Meta AI, by creating clear objectives and measures of success
• Lead major product launch moments end to end; including narrative, materials, press and social strategy, briefings, demos, embargo management, and measurement
• Serve as communications counsel to product, research, and business leadership on positioning, media engagement, and issues management
• Shape how we talk about AI capabilities responsibly — including privacy, data access and permissions, and safety — in partnership with Policy, Legal, Research, and Product teams
• Drive social-first and creator storytelling that highlight people using Muse and Meta AI in real life
• Build and steward senior relationships with technology, consumer, and business journalists, analysts, and creators
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Research, Marketing, Policy, Legal, and the broader Meta Communications team, and influence launch planning

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on consumer technology products in the US market
• Experience leading consumer software or AI product launches
• Knowledge of generative AI concepts, trends, and innovations
• Experience distilling complex technical details into clear written narratives, press materials, and social copy
• Established relationships with national technology, consumer, or business press
• Experience leading communications strategy end to end
• Experience counseling senior leaders and driving complex cross-functional conversations independently
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience communicating about AI assistants, AI agents, or foundation models
• Experience managing product-related issues, including privacy, data access, safety, or trust questions in consumer technology
• Experience communicating research or model capabilities alongside consumer product narratives
• Experience with social-first storytelling, creator partnerships, and influencer engagement
• Experience managing a portfolio of competing priorities with flexibility to pivot quickly

US: $146,000/year to $206,000/year + bonus + equity
