Infrastructure Accounting Manager

Meta is seeking an experienced accountant to support infrastructure, supporting one of Meta's most significant areas of capital investment. This role will primarily support infrastructure procurement and financial reporting. The individual must be a self-starter and work with limited direction while taking full ownership of their areas of responsibility. The individual will be expected to problem solve, manage projects, design innovative solutions to scale our accounting processes, and exercise good business judgment while performing their functions. They are expected to have a solid business acumen coupled with an accounting background and communication and partnership skills to effectively facilitate information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Supply Chain Operations, Technical Sourcing, and Engineering on new and non-standard infrastructure procurement arrangements, providing accounting guidance throughout the deal-making process
• Conduct comprehensive contract reviews and document the accounting treatment for significant and non-standard arrangements, including the business write-up and the internal accounting summary presented to finance leadership
• Maintain the infrastructure non-standard arrangements tracker, including the prepayments and deposits listing, cloud deals listing, quarterly roll-forward, and quarter-end reporting materials
• Own assigned SEC reporting deliverables for the infrastructure portfolio, including the statement of cash flows, and partner with the SEC Reporting team to ensure completeness and accuracy of infrastructure reporting
• Own critical Sarbanes-Oxley controls over infrastructure processes and provide support for internal and external audits
• Carry out month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation and review of accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset creation for capital prepayments, to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Drive process improvements and automation, including leveraging AI tooling, to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reporting

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
• 10+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or related accounting disciplines
• Experience in preparing or reviewing external reporting deliverables, such as cash flow statements, footnotes, or disclosures
• Technical and operational knowledge of US GAAP and experience in applying accounting guidance to complex, non-standard commercial arrangements, including contract review and documentation of accounting conclusions
• Knowledge and experience with risk assessment and internal controls, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act business partnership experience, and the ability to advise business partners on accounting outcomes
• Skilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting and financial reporting processes
• Experience with Microsoft & Google tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs)
• Experience executing and delivering high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity
• Demonstrated agility in taking on new areas of responsibility and ramping quickly as priorities shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Combination of experience working in public accounting and a technology company
• Experience with infrastructure, supply chain, procurement, or capital expenditure accounting
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Experience partnering with SEC Reporting on external reporting deliverables and disclosure
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• CPA License

US: $142,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity
