Position Overview
The Pinch is seeking a warm, polished, and service-driven Front Desk Concierge to join our team. This role serves as both the welcoming face of the hotel and a trusted resource for our guests throughout their stay.
The Front Desk Concierge is responsible for traditional front desk operations while also delivering highly personalized concierge service. From coordinating pre-arrival details and welcoming guests to securing dining reservations, arranging transportation, and creating customized Charleston itineraries, this individual plays an integral role in shaping the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
- Manage guest arrivals and departures, including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, billing, and payment processing.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Coordinate pre-arrival communication and gather guest preferences to personalize each stay.
- Provide guests with a thorough introduction to The Pinch, its amenities, and available services.
- Serve complimentary welcome beverages during the arrival experience.
- Maintain detailed and accurate guest profiles, including preferences, special requests, and follow-up items.
- Coordinate spa appointments, including massages, facials, and other available treatments.
- Assist with dining reservations at Lowland and other Charleston restaurants, utilizing Resy and other reservation platforms.
- Provide thoughtful recommendations for restaurants, shopping, attractions, cultural experiences, and local destinations.
- Arrange transportation, floral deliveries, groceries, baby equipment rentals, in-room amenities, celebrations, and other special requests.
- Coordinate elevated guest experiences including private sailing charters, carriage tours, cooking classes, walking tours, private transportation, and other curated activities.
- Create personalized itineraries based on guest preferences, interests, and length of stay.
- Assist with celebrations, private events, group dining experiences, and VIP arrangements.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency, escalating matters to leadership when appropriate.
- Partner closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and hotel leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Set up, replenish, maintain, and break down the hotel’s complimentary breakfast and coffee bar while ensuring exceptional presentation and cleanliness.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel offerings, neighborhood destinations, Charleston attractions, and local events.
- Support additional front office and guest experience responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in luxury hospitality, hotels, concierge services, guest relations, restaurants, or another high-touch service environment preferred.
- Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Warm, polished, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Resourceful and confident problem solver with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of Charleston restaurants, attractions, neighborhoods, and experiences is strongly preferred; enthusiasm for becoming a local expert is essential.
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems and reservation platforms such as Resy is a plus.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
