Position Overview
As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage major phases of large hyperscale data center developments or lead multiple large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects simultaneously. You will be accountable for all aspects of project success, including safety, client satisfaction, contract administration, financial performance, staffing, procurement, risk management, and overall project execution.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and key stakeholders while leading project teams responsible for delivering complex civil, utility, structural concrete, power, telecommunications, and mission-critical infrastructure projects. Success requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project execution from project pursuit and contract award through commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.
- Manage major mission-critical infrastructure projects or multiple concurrent projects with full responsibility for safety, schedule, quality, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Directly supervise and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other assigned project personnel.
- Review project proposals, contracts, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, staffing requirements, and execution plans.
- Develop project execution strategies, procurement plans, staffing plans, forecasting models, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety across all project activities.
- Ensure projects are executed in compliance with contract requirements, company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary customer-facing representative throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, schedule impacts, financial performance, and key decisions to customers and executive leadership.
- Manage project contracts from initial award through final project closeout, including change management, contract administration, commercial negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate closely with field leadership to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget while maintaining quality and safety expectations.
- Lead project meetings, customer meetings, operational reviews, subcontractor meetings, and executive project updates.
- Review project forecasts, schedules, cost reports, cash flow projections, procurement status reports, and manpower plans.
- Support proposal development, bid strategy discussions, estimating reviews, and project pursuit activities.
- Coordinate project activities with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, engineering teams, commissioning teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify project risks and implement strategies that improve project performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Support the development and growth of project personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

What It Takes
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 7-10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing large-scale mission-critical, hyperscale data center, EPC, industrial, power, utility, heavy civil, or infrastructure construction projects.
- Demonstrated success serving as the primary client-facing representative on major construction projects.
- Strong customer relationship management skills with the ability to proactively communicate, resolve issues, negotiate solutions, and exceed customer expectations.
- Experience managing project contracts from award through closeout, including contract administration, change management, commercial negotiations, claims resolution, and risk mitigation.
- Experience supervising and mentoring Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, subcontract management, project controls, risk management, and construction operations.
- Experience supporting proposal development, estimating activities, bid reviews, RFP responses, and project pursuits.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, HCSS, Microsoft Project, or similar project management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP, PE, or other advanced industry certifications are preferred but not required.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel approximately 75% and support long-term onsite project assignments throughout North America as required. Travel may include extended durations based on project assignments and business needs.
