Job Description
This position provides strategic college-wide leadership and direction for Customized Training and Continuing Education (CTCE) department at Riverland Community College. This position provides administrative leadership, direction and oversight, including but not limited to short-term training programs, micro-credentials and digital badging, contract customized training, open enrollment continuing education, and non-credit courses, programs and certificates. The position shapes the direction of the department and advances workforce education at Riverland by building industry and community partnerships, interpreting labor market trends, and identifying revenue generation opportunities that support program growth and sustainability. In addition to developing and evaluating programming, this role manages budgets, supervises staff and instructors, and leads outreach efforts that enhance the colleges' visibility and relevance in regional workforce ecosystems. The position collaborates across departments to ensure non-credit programs are integrated with academic pathways and student support services.
1. Supervise and develop workforce education staff.
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 30%
2. Create and maintain business relationships that increase training sales and revenue.
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 25%
3.Provide strategic leadership of responsive workforce training and development.
Plan new programs that respond to workforce needs, support and enhance non-credit programs, and generate revenue for the department and the college. Lead and direct program development, delivery, and evaluation.
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 25%
4. Develop and administer the Workforce Education budget.
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 15%
5. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization(s) as a viable business partner.
Priority: Secondary Percent of Time: 5%

$38.33 - $55.93 / $81,077.00 - $116,782.00
