The Trainee Program is a six-month, entry level, full time, immersive employment opportunity where you will gain practical industry experience. A full-time, permanent position at the end of the program is based on performance and position availability.

Job Description

The MKTG Sport & Entertainment Social & Influencer Team is looking for someone to join our fast-growing content team. As the Social Trainee, you will ideate, produce, and execute engaging social content that resonates with fans and aligns with our client's social strategy. Through extensive research, creative ideation, and in-depth immersion across social platforms, you will gain hands-on insight and understanding of the social media discipline through a focus on sports and entertainment sponsorships.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Concept and present short-form social video concepts that ladder back to brands’ overall sponsorship strategy, specific focus on Reels and TikToks

• Research and audit channels and sports/culture social conversations to identify relevant trends and opportunities for branded content; develop POVs to share with team and clients

• Support copywriting needs, specifically focused on social copy

• Assist in planning, organizing, and routing content calendars for social programs

• Support client social reporting and develop optimization strategies based on goals

• Support client and new business research as needed, including vetting social channels, knowing the latest trends, analyzing competitors

• Support influencer marketing programs; including research on talent recommendations and content ideas for talent briefing

• Stay informed of the latest mobile editing tools, ability to produce mobile content a plus (CapCut, within social platforms)

• Some travel (including weekend travel) may be required based on account needs

QUICK FACTS:

• Program start date: January 11, 2027

• This role requires 3-4 days on location in New York along with other days as needed.

• You will report to someone more senior on the team.

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a candidate who is a passionate sports fan and keeps up with social conversations/culture

• Ability to think creatively and pitch new, out-of-the-box social concepts to clients

• You are vocal, articulate and comfortable with copywriting

• Comfortable editing content across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

• You think creatively and understand culture

• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize across multiple deadlines

Additional information

The hourly pay range for this position is ($19.23 per hour). The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
