What Your Practice Looks Like As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists to help patients improve mobility, restore function, increase independence, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. Acute/Inpatient Rehabilitation (2 Days Per Week) Assist patients recovering from: Orthopedic surgeries and injuries Acute illness and hospitalization Neurological conditions General deconditioning Balance and mobility impairments Help patients regain function and prepare for a safe transition home or to their next level of care. Outpatient Rehabilitation (3 Days Per Week) Treat patients recovering from: Orthopedic injuries and conditions Post-surgical rehabilitation Joint replacement recovery Balance and fall prevention concerns Neurological conditions Chronic pain and mobility limitations Strengthening and conditioning programs Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary care team to support successful patient outcomes.
