Description:
Position Purpose:
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition.
What You Will Do:
- Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.
- Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.
- Operate within an acclaimed 22-bed Level 1 Trauma Facility unit, contributing to a burgeoning ECMO Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training
Preferred:
- Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.
Position Highlights:
- Full-Time: 36 hrs/week – Evening Shift. 11:00 am to 11:00 pm
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
- Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
