The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) provides strategic leadership, clinical vision, and operational direction for Multnomah County’s Community Health Center (CHC). Grounded in a commitment to health equity, cultural humility, and anti-racism, the CMO oversees clinical programs and establishes policies that ensure patients and staff members feel welcomed, valued, and supported. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of managing complex clinical programs, providing medical consultation across diverse provider groups, and partnering effectively with diverse communities living in poverty. A dedicated culture-builder, the CMO fosters an environment of trust, respect, and strict adherence to workplace equity standards. Executive Advocacy: Serve as an external clinical expert and change leader to expand patient reach, using empathetic leadership to guide the healthcare division and advance the Health Center’s mission. Collaborate with medical directors and clinical leaders for other FQHCs to advance the mission of CHC in Oregon.
