Opening for Pharmacy Technician I, II, and III. Role requires to be registered with the SC Board of Pharmacy prior to start but is not required for interview. Under the supervision and direction of the pharmacy supervisor/staff pharmacist, fills routine orders for unit doses, prepackaged pharmaceuticals, prepares small IVs and performs related duties. Total parenteral nutrition and chemotherapy preparation.

Job Description

- Must obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)) certificationTeam members as of 11/1/2023: within 1 year of 11/1/2023 New Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 6 months of hireNew team members who are enrolled or will enroll in a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or recognized by PTCB, have 30 days post program completion to obtain certification. Failure to obtain and maintain certification will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
Additional Job Description
Education: High School Degree or Equivalent
Work Experience: 0-6months
Pharmacy Technician License is required prior to first day of hire.
The technician must complete the PTCB board certification exam and pass within 6 months of hire.
