Shift: Full Time (Varying shifts) Location: Rotating locations throughout Health System
Minimum Training and Education:
Phlebotomist I:
- Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 0-6months.
- Credentials: Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course.
Phlebotomist II:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 6 months phlebotomy experience required.
- Credentials: Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course. This is a Career Ladder Position.
- Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.
- External candidates are required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in position.
Phlebotomist III:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 Years work experience in phlebotomy required.
- Credentials: Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course. This is a Career Ladder Position.
- Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.
- External candidates are required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 6 months in position.
Job Summary:
Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank
