Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator - Central Scheduling

Overview:
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Coordinates and assists in the provision of Behavioral Health resources and services to clients.

Essential Functions:
- Assists families in determining needed resources and services through a screening and triage process.
- Answers questions and concerns of families and provides service referrals and scheduling.
- Gathers referral and pre-admission information and completes all pre-admission data entry.
- Identifies emergent or complex cases and seeks clinical review prior to finalizing the referral.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient resource and scheduling services.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record and Scheduling software to assess the demand for services and the ability of current service capacities to meet the community’s needs.
- Maintains confidentiality of all clinical and administrative information consistent with agency policy.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work or related field, required.

Skills:
- Strong skills in customer service, process improvement, data entry, and advanced computer skills, required.
- Proficiency with EPIC and the NCHBH system,preferred.
Experience:
Behavioral health or customer service experience, required.
