Sunday - Wednesday 5am - 3:30pm Holiday and On Call coverage Overtime if Needed
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Job Description Summary:
Transports and restocks inventory at offsite locations using company delivery vehicle.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Drives delivery vehicles to transport materials and equipment from Materials Management to user departments at various offsite locations.
- Enters orders for needed inventory and prepares items for delivery.
- Maintains company delivery vehicle and storage areas of offsite locations.
- Assists with unloading and moving inventory to assigned areas.
- Maintains appropriate departmental documentation and daily driver log.
- Ensures that customer has the materials and equipment needed, assisting with any required returns and reporting problems and concerns to supervisor.
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Skills:
- Ability to safely operate a midsize delivery van.
- Ability to understand general written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate with customers in a clear and polite manner.
- Problem solving and time management.
Experience:
Delivery experience, preferred.
