Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as building charge in Newport Cottage, which serves individuals with medical and behavioral challenges. This position is also responsible for coordinating 2nd shift schedules and staff coverage. This position is responsible for the oversight and direct involvement with individual treatment, care and programming and must be capable of communicating effectively, orally and in writing and must be capable of lifting and transferring individuals and giving assistance to staff as needed. This position is also responsible for ensuring that staff receive support and supplies necessary to carry out their responsibilities, to ensure required documentation is compiled, and that the environment is monitored for infection control and safety issues.
ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.

Necessary Required Training or Certification - As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
This position DOES NOT require NA I certification.
Normal working hours are on 2nd Shift 2:30p.m. - 11:00p.m., including Holidays and every other weekend . Some flexibility required to meet center's needs.
