Job Description:
Position Summary: The Batch Maker is responsible for preparing and mixing chemicals according to product specifications, following established safety and quality procedures, documenting and labeling products, and ensuring that finished products meet all quality standards and production requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate mixing and blending equipment to produce batches according to specifications and work instructions.
- Follow batch cards, job tickets, and established production procedures to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Transfer and transport raw materials and finished products using appropriate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Set up, adjust, change over, clean, and maintain production equipment and work areas.
- Monitor batch quality, collect samples, and submit required documentation to Quality Assurance.
- Handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when necessary.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by supporting Kanban processes, cycle counts, and stock verification activities.
- Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all materials and products are properly labeled, identified, and stored.
- Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and housekeeping standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1+ years related batching experience.
- Minimum 1+ years manufacturing experience.
- Previous forklift experience required.
