Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner and Industrial Automation Solutions provider, is currently offering an opportunity for an Operator Performance Solutions Advisor to join our System Solutions team. This role combines business development, technical leadership, and project execution to grow and deliver our Operator Performance portfolio, including DeltaV Live and Alarm Management solutions.

This individual will act as both a trusted advisor and hands-on contributor, engaging with customers to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and participate in delivery. The role partners closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to improve operator effectiveness, enhance situational awareness, and drive measurable performance outcomes.

The successful candidate will understand client operations, operator challenges, and business drivers, while helping deploy scalable and standardized Operator Performance solutions across our customer base.

Solutions Advisor, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Business Development

  • Engage with customer stakeholders across operations, engineering, maintenance, and leadership to identify Operator Performance opportunities
  • Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships at both site and enterprise levels
  • Identify customer Critical Success Factors (CSFs), KPIs, and operational gaps related to operator effectiveness
  • Support sales teams in developing, qualifying, and closing opportunities
  • Lead or support discovery sessions, workshops, and value discussions with customers
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of Operator Performance opportunities

Solution Development & Technical Leadership

  • Serve as a technical advisor for Operator Performance solutions, including:DeltaV Live (HMI modernization) Alarm Management and rationalization (ISA-18.2)
  • Define solution approaches, architectures, and scope aligned with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and scalability.
  • Quantify and communicate value-based outcomes (e.g., alarm reduction, improved response time, reduced downtime).
  • Contribute to proposal development, including scope, effort estimates, and technical narratives.

Project Execution & Delivery Support

  • Lead or actively participate in Operator Performance project delivery
  • Support implementation of DeltaV Live graphics, alarm management programs, and operator workflows
  • Drive standardization and reuse of tools, templates, and methodologies
  • Apply a “see one, do one, teach one” approach to build team capability
  • Collaborate with project teams to define roles, delegate tasks, and ensure successful execution
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot issues throughout project lifecycle

Strategic Development & Best Practices

  • Develop and document best practices for Operator Performance deployments, including HMI and alarm management standards
  • Support development of assessment frameworks, FEED strategies, and value realization models
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies and offering development
  • Identify trends in operator performance and usability to inform solution evolution

Sales Enablement & Knowledge Sharing

  • Develop and maintain reusable sales and delivery content, including case studies and presentations
  • Support internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Partner with marketing to develop Operator Performance success stories
  • Ensure consistent technical positioning and messaging across opportunities

Solutions Advisor, Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in process control, automation, or operator performance-related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in both project execution and customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong knowledge of:DeltaV systems and DeltaV Live Alarm Management practices and methodologies
  • Experience supporting or influencing technical sales opportunities.
  • Proven ability to work with both technical teams and customer stakeholders.

Solutions Advisor, Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ISA-101 (HMI) and ISA-18.2 (Alarm Management) preferred
  • Experience implementing HMI standardization and alarm rationalization programs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance delivery execution with business development responsibilities
  • Experience mentoring team members and driving scalable development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Solutions Advisor, Compensation:

Base Salary Range: $120,000 - 130,000

Bonus Potential: 20%
