Architect scalable solutions leveraging cloud-native services (Azure), microservices patterns, and API-first integration design

Design integration frameworks connecting applications and data platforms; ensure robust data lineage and system interoperability

Evaluate build vs. buy decisions and lead platform selection, configuration, and customization for SaaS finance tool

Define and enforce technical standards, code quality practices, and architecture governance within the team

Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Treasury, and Technology — translating complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions

Engage with digital products & business leadership to align system roadmaps with business strategy and regulatory obligations

Facilitate design workshops, solution walkthroughs, and executive-level status updates with clarity and confidence

Manage expectations, risks, and delivery timelines transparently across business and technology stakeholders

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Lead and mentor a team of engineers, functional analysts, and integration developers; foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement

Provide technical guidance and hands-on mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers on design patterns, best practices, and problem-solving

Drive career development, performance management, and capacity planning for the team

Operations, Governance & Compliance

Ensure finance systems meet audit, SOX, and regulatory requirements through embedded controls and governance frameworks

Oversee data governance, access controls, and security posture across the finance application landscape

Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational health metrics; lead incident resolution and RCAs

Manage vendor relationships, SaaS lifecycle, and contract performance for key finance platforms

Qualifications

Domain & Functional Expertise

15+ years of experience spanning finance systems, with strong working knowledge of financial close, treasury operations, general ledger, allocations, and forecasting processes

Hands-on functional experience with ERP/EPM platforms (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP, OneStream, Anaplan) and Treasury Management Systems

Understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance (SOX, GAAP) as they apply to systems and data

Technical Expertise

Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and finance data lake architectures

Familiarity with modern DevOps practices — CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and release management

Working knowledge of AI/ML applications in finance contexts (e.g., anomaly detection, variance analysis, predictive modeling) is a plus

Leadership & Communication

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and deliver complex programs on time and within scope

Proven track record as a trusted business partner — able to engage finance executives and translate their needs into scalable technology solutions

Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and navigating ambiguity
