About The Role

We are seeking an Inside Sales Engineer with proficiency in German. This is a technical role that serves as a key resource for the Inside Sales Representatives. You will be expected to enable partners to perform all the functions of an Object First Sales Engineer, including running Proof of Concepts.

In this role, you will report directly to the Team Lead, Inside Sales Engineering. You will have experience with backup, disaster recovery, and data management solutions either in Sales Engineering, Support, or R&D and be looking to move into a direct customer-facing technical role.

What You’ll Do

• As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will be accountable for delivering and exceeding revenue goals by driving innovative technical engagement with partners and/or prospects in conjunction with the Inside Sales Representative team.
• Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise in Object First products.
• Support pre-sales activities in the assigned market, building technical relationships with channel partners, their customers, and ecosystem partners.
• Assume the role of technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet customers’ technical and business requirements.
• Deliver technical and sales presentations to technical staff, senior management, and industry groups.
• Successfully build relationships with the account team, partners, and customers in support of sales objectives, and leverage corporate resources, budgets, and personnel as appropriate.
• Lead technical sales calls and educate partners and customers.
• Qualify sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, solution sizing, competition, decision-making process, and funding, in collaboration with the sales team.
• Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.

What You’ll Bring

• Hands-on experience with data protection solutions and data center technologies (storage, networking, virtualization). Direct experience with Veeam Data Platform is preferred.
• Proven ability to provide technical recommendations and thought leadership to customers, partners, and internal teams, contributing to product evolution.
• Demonstrable Sales Engineering experience, preferably in software sales, DevOps, or Data Protection; alternatively, a background in Technical Support (minimum T2 or T3) or technical R&D.
• Highly driven and energetic, with a strong hands-on, “can-do” approach and a desire to own success.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and a “get-it-done” attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including handling multiple calls and demos per day with immediate follow-up.
• High level of business acumen, with experience working with CxO-level executives and understanding how technology solutions address business challenges.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple Sales team members and cross-functional departments.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and effectively educate others.
• German language proficiency is required.
