Physician - Cognitive Neurologist - Full Time Academic
Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center- Shreveport are currently seeking a Cognitive Specialist to join our outstanding Academic Neurology department and dynamic team. Must be BC/BE and be eligible for a Louisiana license. Leadership opportunities available to qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities: Delivering high-quality clinical care to patients with neurological conditions. Medical student and Neurology resident education, including supervision in clinics, grand rounds, and didactic conferences. Participation in departmental activities and contributing to the growth of the Dementia program. Mentoring and providing clinical expertise to faculty and residents. Large patient volume potential and leadership potential. Louisiana has the 5th highest Alzheimer’s mortality rate in the US and North Louisiana has a particularly large burden of disease. Potential to be the expert in the field in this region. Resources & Facilities: Dedicated Infusion Center Multi-disciplinary Care Academic Medical department with the largest concentration of Subspecialty Neurologists in the Ark-La-Tex region.
