Lead Research Coordinator

The College of Nursing seeks a Lead Research Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of a clinical research study involving parents and infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). In partnership with the Principal Investigators, the Lead Research Coordinator’s core duties include protocol implementation; recruiting and enrolling participants; corresponding with outside collaborators and agencies; managing study records including those associated with IRB processes; managing participant compensation; conducting literature searches and collaborating on manuscript preparation; and supervising study staff and overseeing daily operations. Performs administrative duties of a responsible, sensitive, and confidential nature; serves as primary point of contact for the study Principal Investigators. Other duties commensurate with experience and study needs may be assigned. This position will require some travel each week to local hospitals within 10 miles of OSU. Weekend and evening hours may be required based on project needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
This is a grant funded position with an anticipated duration of 5 years; the possibility of extension will be based on funding and budget.
For grant-funded positions identified as ‘regular,’ please note that employment is contingent upon funding. For positions identified as ‘term,’ please note the position has a lifespan of 1-3 years.
