We are seeking a highly motivated Researcher to support an NIH-funded project focused on understanding the mechanisms and clinical implications of the cefazolin inoculum effect (CzIE) in Staphylococcus aureus. The successful candidate will contribute to laboratory studies investigating bacterial resistance mechanisms, antimicrobial susceptibility, gene expression, and host-pathogen interactions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, microbiology, and translational research.

The pay range for this job profile is $58,700 - $77,200. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and interested in pursuing a career in biomedical research, medicine, pharmacy, infectious diseases, or graduate education. We are not looking for somebody who is a beginner. Ideally 2-3 years of prior experiments working in the lab (even in unrelated fields such as cancer pharmacology, microbiome science, etc) would be helpful. If you are a motivated individual and eager to learn in a bench to bedside translational laboratory, you are encouraged to apply.
