Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Marketing team in achieving business objectives. This position involves a mix of administrative, organizational, external events and customer-facing tasks to ensure smooth operations and enhanced customer experience.

Optics11 is a world leader in fiber optic sensing technology for ultra-sensitive early warning systems. From our base in the Netherlands – a global hub for high-tech innovation and maritime expertise – we are on a mission to make the world safer by protecting critical infrastructure such as sea-lanes, offshore energy assets and subsea cables from disruption. About the role:

As Marketing Assistant, you will support the day-to-day execution of our Underwater Security marketing activities. You will help deliver campaigns, keep sales and marketing materials up to date, and coordinate events from preparation through follow-up.

What will you do?

• Support the execution of marketing campaigns for our Underwater Security portfolio, including content, LinkedIn, email and website updates.
• Create and maintain marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, promotional content and event materials using approved messaging and templates.
• Coordinate conferences, trade shows and customer events, including registrations, travel, accommodation, logistics, suppliers and exhibition materials.
• Support event promotion, attendee coordination and on-site activities, including welcoming visitors and connecting prospects with the right Sales or technical colleagues.
• Manage event and campaign contacts in HubSpot, ensuring accurate data, clear next steps and timely handover to Sales.
• Keep marketing calendars, tasks and deadlines on track, coordinating inputs and approvals across internal teams and external suppliers.
• Support supplier, invoice and event expense administration and compile basic campaign and event reporting.

Who are you?

• You have at least an HBO-level education.

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar supporting role.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Professional working proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.

• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g. social media platforms, email marketing tools).

• Experience in a fast-paced, technical environment with strong attention to detail.

• Enthusiastic, flexible, and resilient under pressure.

• Ability to set priorities effectively and adapt to changing needs.
