Job Description DevOps Engineer, IC2 — Oracle Federal Consulting Oracle Health’s Technology Consulting Development team is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to help build, operate, and improve reliable infrastructure and delivery systems across both on-premises virtual-machine environments and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You’ll work with engineering, security, and operations teams to automate deployments, strengthen observability, and support resilient services at scale. Due to the nature of the work with US Federal, only US Citizens can be considered What you’ll bring + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. + Approximately 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, cloud operations, or a related technical role. + Working knowledge of Linux administration and virtual-machine environments. + Familiarity with at least one cloud platform; OCI experience is strongly preferred. + Experience or exposure to CI/CD tools, source control, and automated deployment workflows. + Familiarity with scripting in Bash, Python, or a similar language. + Foundational understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs. + Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. + Interest in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager. + Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication. Preferred qualifications + OCI Foundations, Associate, or comparable cloud certification. + Experience supporting hybrid environments spanning on-premises servers and public cloud services. + Familiarity with security practices for identity, secrets, patching, and least-privilege access. + Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as OCI Monitoring, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK. Responsibilities What you’ll do + Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery. + Provision, configure, patch, and monitor on-premises virtual machines and OCI resources. + Automate repeatable infrastructure tasks using infrastructure-as-code and scripting. + Support OCI services such as Compute, Networking, IAM, Object Storage, Load Balancing, and Monitoring. + Help manage Linux-based server environments, including troubleshooting performance, availability, networking, and access issues. + Improve operational visibility through logging, metrics, alerts, and dashboards. + Partner with developers to improve deployment reliability, incident response, and service performance. + Follow Oracle security, compliance, change-management, and operational standards. + Participate in an on-call rotation and contribute to post-incident learning and preventative improvements. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from $25.48 to $63.65 per hour; from: $53,000 to $132,400 per annum.
