The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output that meets production schedules and customer commitments. This role drives team performance through strong leadership, effective planning, and continuous improvement while fostering a positive, accountable, and inclusive work environment.

This position requires the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, influence cross-functional partners, and develop team capability in alignment with business goals.

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 6AM-5PM (Mon-Fri & weekends as needed. Start & end times may vary)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop hourly team members to achieve production, quality, delivery, and EH&S objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate staffing, production schedules, and daily operations to meet customer demand.
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively address gaps to drive results.
  • Promote and model a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all EH&S standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing practices.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships (Materials, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, EH&S, IT) to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities, operational challenges, and changing business needs.
  • Support new product launches and adapt to market or production changes.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, engagement, and development.
  • Identify and develop talent to support succession planning and organizational growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable for results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and HRIS (e.g., ADP) preferred.
  • Familiarity with production environments such as assembly, machining, or fabrication is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the organization.

Education / Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience (leading 20+ employees) required.
  • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Warehouse & DC Supervisors are required to have PIV, warehousing, shipping and receiving experience.

Physical Demand

  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours a day.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Walking, balancing, climbing, standing, twisting/turning, bending/stooping, crawling, crouching, kneeling/squatting, sitting, reaching above shoulder height, reaching forward, lifting (maximum 35 pounds), carrying, pushing/pulling, handling, feeling, digital dexterity, wrist flexion/extension, power grip, working speed, talking, hearing, seeing (with color vision) depth perception. Must be able to wear/use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take initiative, and to cope with stress, and repetitive tasks and be able to self-inspect and take responsibility for quality of own work.

Environmental Exposures:

Exposed to heat, noise, dust, dirt, and moving machinery, 100% inside work. Must be aware of moving machinery.
