Your Role as a PTA

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will play an important role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
  • Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence
  • Assist patients with gait training, therapeutic exercises, transfers, and functional activities
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising PT
  • Provide education and encouragement to patients and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Promote patient safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life

Qualifications

  • Current and active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
