About the Role
Provide Occupational Therapy services to students in a K–12 school setting in Lihue, Hawaii. You’ll conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct and consultative OT services to help students develop functional skills and successfully access their education. This role works closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support positive student outcomes.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct formal and dynamic occupational therapy assessments to determine students’ functional needs
- Develop and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct Occupational Therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and triennial evaluations as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other providers to support students’ participation and progress in the educational environment
- Provide consultation and recommendations regarding accommodations, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support student access
- Maintain accurate therapy notes, assessment data, progress reports, and other required documentation
- Support students across a variety of developmental and functional needs within the school setting
What We’re Looking For
Must Have:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the State of Hawaii
- Ability to meet Hawaii Department of Education requirements for working in a school-based setting
- Background clearance and TB clearance, as required
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Preferred:
- Previous school-based Occupational Therapy experience
- Experience working with K–12 students and students with disabilities
- Familiarity with IEPs and special education services
- Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices
- Experience with school-based caseload management
