Point Quest is Hiring Riders: $18.50-$22.50/hour + Benefits | Full-Time | El Dorado Hills, CA | Monday-Friday | Split Shifts | School Hours

About the Role

Support students with special needs during transportation to and from school. As a Rider, you will accompany students on assigned routes, helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment while collaborating with the driver and school staff. Riders provide supervision, behavioral support, and assistance during transportation. Depending on staffing and program needs, Riders may also provide Behavioral Aide support during school hours.

What You'll Do

Rider

  • Shift Hours: Split shift schedule 1st Shift: 4:30AM/5:30AM - 8:30AM 2nd Shift: 1:30PM - 5:00PM
  • Supervise and support students during transportation to and from school
  • Assist students with safe loading and unloading procedures
  • Provide behavioral redirection and encouragement as needed
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and structured transportation environment
  • Monitor student attendance and complete required documentation
  • Follow transportation safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • Communicate concerns or incidents to supervisors and school staff
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs during transit

Behavioral Aide (As Needed)

  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Provide one-on-one instructional and behavioral support
  • Assist students with classroom participation and daily routines
  • Collect and document student progress data
  • Collaborate with teachers and clinical staff
  • Support positive behavior and social-emotional development

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Physically able to support student needs (as required)

Must Have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Clearance and TB Clearance
  • Ability to safely assist and supervise students during transportation

Preferred

  • Experience in school transportation or student support services
  • Pro-ACT, CPI, CPR, or First Aid certification
  • Experience supporting students with behavioral, social, or emotional needs
