Our Telecommunications team provides engineering and design services for fiber optic networks and telecommunications infrastructure across the United States. Position Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for independently performing engineering design, analysis, and plan production for telecommunications projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, sound engineering judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver quality work on schedule.

Essential Functions

• Lead the design and development of fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Develop accurate, complete, and professional construction documents with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, engineers, contractors, utilities, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate design alternatives and provide practical, cost-effective, and constructible solutions.
• Review plans, specifications, calculations, and other project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support project estimates, proposals, schedules, and budgets.
• Assist with construction administration, field observations, contractor questions, and change orders as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support business development opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Take on increasing levels of technical and project responsibility while continuing professional development.

Position Requirements

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience with demonstrated project success.
• Telecommunications and fiber optic design experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with aerial and underground fiber design preferred.
• Fiber cable landing and/or fiber bridge attachment experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering design software.
• Ability to lead the design of large or complex projects.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Education & Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Telecommunications, or related Engineering discipline required.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Texas P.E. license preferred, or ability to obtain Texas licensure.
