Job Description:
Overview:
This position provides technical and office support for survey projects, assisting in preparing various survey deliverables while taking on greater responsibility for independent tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform survey tasks with minimal guidance from the Survey Project Manager and Project Surveyor.
- Complete intermediate-level drawings and calculations using OpenRoads Designer/MicroStation, supplemented by AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Review and verify the accuracy of data before submitting for review.
- Prepare detailed field packages, legal descriptions, and exhibits.
- Conduct occasional field checks and provide feedback to field crews.
- Compile, analyze, and manipulate survey data for use in reports and deliverables.
- Assist with deed research and abstracting, creating base maps, and processing data into final drawings.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a survey technician or related role.
- Proficient knowledge MicroStation required; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrates initiative and independent problem-solving skills for moderately complex tasks.
- Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.
