Serpa Packaging Solutions is looking for a Shipping /Receiving Supervisor to join our growing organization! As the Shipping /Receiving Supervisor with Serpa, you will lead and develop our logistics team while optimizing inventory control and job order flow. This role is critical in ensuring efficient material movement, accurate inventory, and on-time delivery of machines and parts to our customers.

Requirements:
- Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments for shipping, receiving, and inventory personnel.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and train logistics team employees.
- Manage daily personnel issues including training, performance, and corrective action in coordination with management.
- Cultivate a positive, safe, and collaborative working environment.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to meet production and customer demand.
- Oversee the daily cycle count process: assign staff, review adjustments, conduct root cause analysis, and maintain accuracy metrics.
- Ensure ERP system accuracy of inventory locations, transactions, and reporting.
- Support annual physical inventory and ongoing variance reduction initiatives.
- Manage daily shipping and receiving activities to meet production and aftermarket sales deadlines.
- Monitor “must-ship” lists, working with scheduling and production teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Process shipping transactions in ERP (Syteline preferred).
- Prepare shipments via FedEx, UPS, freight carriers, and third-party logistics.
- Review shipping schedules, arrange carrier pickups, and file claims on shortages, damages, or overages.
- Ensure safe packaging, labeling, and documentation of outgoing product.
- Receive and process incoming shipments from vendors, reporting damages or discrepancies.
- Return incorrect or damaged purchased parts when required.
- Issue and deliver parts to job orders and the assembly department.
- Transfer materials in/out of production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts.
- Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and ensure work area organization and cleanliness.
- Assist with preparation and shipment of customer spare parts orders.
- Work closely with Operations, Production, and Aftermarket teams to meet scheduling demands.
- Ensure excellent communication with internal departments and external customers.
- Provide accurate documentation for all logistics transactions.
Desired Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in inventory control, shipping & receiving, or logistics (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
- Supervisory or lead experience required.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving systems and inventory processes.
- Experience with ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to accuracy.
- Forklift certification (training provided if needed).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to safe work practices.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift or move up to 50 lbs, and operate material handling equipment
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
