Job Description:

Support to the property accounting group by using accounting skills to analyze financial information in order to prepare journal entries, complete bank reconciliations, review high volumes of payables as well as purchase orders, etc. Ability to multi-task in high volume environment that is deadline driven. Other duties will be assigned.

Essential functions:

  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Reviewing payables, purchase orders, and wire instructions daily
  • Provide direction to those needing to correct payables and purchase orders
  • Provide year end and monthly reports to partners
  • Preparation of the majority of journal entries – cash movements, equity movements, etc
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly draws
  • Upload budget models monthly for new projects
  • Assist controller and accounting manager as needed
  • Assist controller and Director of Finance, Reporting and Tax with year-end reports and schedules for the auditors.

Education and Experience Requirement(s):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • 1-3 years of related Accountant work experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills Requirement(s):

  • Extensive problem-solving, attention to detail, interpersonal/communication skills and confidentiality in daily operations.
  • Excellent database and reporting expertise, including advanced Excel, Outlook; Yardi is a plus.
  • Desire to learn and ability to receive constructive feedback positively
